REFLEKTA ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM WAY BACK HOME & SHARE ANTHEMIC FOCUS TRACK ‘MY LOVE’

Sydney-based Brit rock outfit REFLEKTA have announced their debut album Way Back Home (19th June via Community Music/Unified Music Group) and shared lead single “My Love” alongside an official music video.

The album teaser arrives as the band’s most immediate and assured statement to date: an anthemic, high-energy track that channels the euphoric rush of late-night indie rock through REFLEKTA’s unmistakable Brit rock lens, and sets the tone for a debut record that ranges from celebration to social frustration and the search for meaningful human connection.

A national tour in support of the album is also announced, running 25th June through 25th July, and culminating in an album launch show at The Lansdowne Hotel, Sydney on 4th July.

About “My Love”

“My Love” opens with a driving guitar riff before building into a soaring chorus built on a single, repeated vocal hook – the track’s title line – designed in equal measure for loud car stereos and packed live rooms. Dynamic shifts, layered guitars and a lead solo that mirrors the vocal melody contribute to a track that balances emotional weight with an undeniably upbeat energy. Listen closely to the intro and you’ll find subtle heartbeat samples threaded beneath the opening bars, alongside emergency vehicle sounds – conceived as “an emergency in reverse”, with the listener pulled back to life as the song kicks in.

The track was the last written for Way Back Home, born from the creative momentum of sessions that had already yielded a full album after a planned EP. What was intended as a deep cut became the record’s opening track and lead single.

“It’s a celebration of the good things, which I am always grateful for but sometimes forget to stop and appreciate. It’s a good vibes party track about something we can all collectively appreciate and a way to celebrate that together.” — REFLEKTA

About Way Back Home

Way Back Home is REFLEKTA’s debut full-length, due 19th June via Community Music, part of the Unified Music Group. Across its tracklist, the album moves between celebration and introspection — exploring love, frustration, a sense of despair at the state of the world, the divisions that pull people apart and the desire for genuine connection. “My Love” opens the record with gratitude and euphoria; the broader album takes a wider and more searching view of contemporary life. As a complete work, it stands as both a document of that journey and a celebration of having made it.

Previous releases “What It Means”, “Ricky Polly” and “I’ll Follow” established the band’s reputation ahead of “Feel the Revelry”, which received Apple Music editorial support across Today’s Rock (Canada), New in Rock (Worldwide), New Music Daily (Canada) and The New Rock (Canada). The band have accumulated over 31,000 combined streams to date and received coverage from international music media including Sense Music Media and Return of Rock.
