Dead Space (Farris Wheel/Sink Or Swim) and G. Felix (Desert Hearts/South Of Saturn) team up once again on Lee Foss’ hit machine imprint to deliver another robust, club ready house release.
Title track ‘Trying Me’, true to Repopulate Mars form, is the sort of bottom heavy house that is engineered for the dancefloor but it’s the track’s disco piano and string flourishes and sultry vocals that mark it out as a hit-in-the-making.
‘Get In Tune’ takes a darker, heavy-hitting approach where the bassline morphs, twists and bends throughout, even taking on drum and bass levels of growl at points. Offsetting the low-end heft is, yet again, another stellar vocal that creates a moody but soulful vibe.
