Rising Australian Producer WILL K Releases New Single “I Don’t Really Care” With Singer-Songwriter Neville on Monstercat

Burgeoning Australian house producer WILL K returned to Monstercat today, teaming up with Swedish singer-songwriter Neville for their debut collaborative single, “I Don’t Really Care.” Drawing inspiration from post-breakup woes, Neville’s sultry vocals recount the rollercoaster of emotions that hit when your former flame starts dating someone new. The bouncy bassline and crisp percussion blend perfectly with the moody synths and pads, a testament to WILL K’s refined production stylings. Arriving as the first of more records to come on the label, “I Don’t Really Care” signals a new chapter in WILL’s storied career as he looks toward developing his artistry with music that’s reflective of his ethos and personal growth.

WILL K shares, “This song was super fun to create, I think it was around the time Skrillex dropped “Butterflies,” and the bounce to that bassline really inspired me to write this record. I tried to show a little more of my own identity by using my favourite moody lead sounds throughout the drop sections and an aggressive bassline to go with them. From the moment I heard Neville’s demo I knew she fit perfectly on it! She really nailed the vibe and made it even more special. I think this song is the perfect way to kick off a package and come back to Monstercat after “Flip Reset” with Kaskade.

Neville adds, “‘I Don’t Really Care’ is about that weird place you’re in when you’ve ended things with someone on your terms, but you’re still not quite over them, and you’re jealous about the thought of them being with someone else.

Diving into music at age 12, WILL K has since become one of Australia’s most exciting electronic artists. He’s performed around the world across dance music’s biggest stages, including Tomorrowland and Creamfields, as well as headlined tours in Asia and Europe. His dynamic sound has caught the attention of industry greats like Axwell and Tchami, leading to multiple releases on their respective labels. In 2020, WILL K made his Monstercat debut with “Flip Reset,” a collab with Kaskade, which earned him over 20 million streams and appearances in the video games Rocket League and Fortnite. This year, fans can expect to see the name WILL K everywhere as he sets his sights on expanding his influence and becoming a global force.

Breaking onto the scene in 2020, rising singer-songwriter Neville has quickly made a name for herself thanks to her electric dance-pop style. Citing influences like Tove Lo, Charli XCX, and Ashnikko, the Swedish artist has become a sought-after collaborator, having worked with producers like Discrete and 7Skies. With a promising start to the year, Neville looks to continue her upward trajectory with “I Don’t Really Care,” just one of many upcoming releases from the pop prodigy.
