Rising Indie-trap artist ION returns with an exhilarating new single ‘Mrs Different’, alongside an exquisite EP entitled ‘The Blizzard Awaits.
Emerging talent ION is the moniker of London-born Jon Sadiku, whose origins are from Kosovo. His music seeks to explore creative themes, uniquely blending witty lyricism and dreamy soundscapes that from the ground up are built to be sonically cohesive. Having released his single ‘1 of 1’, the blossoming artist now returns with an enticing affair entitled ‘Mrs Different’ from his new hip-hop and down-tempo EP ‘The Blizzard Awaits’.

“With my new EP maintaining this idea of ‘facing the cold’, Mrs. Different acts as the ‘warmest’ point where I try to convey a sense of tender happiness. The word: ‘foreign’, which I repeat frequently throughout the song is meant to be a double entendre. One of the meanings is the literal use of the word whilst the other pertains to the idea of being in a situation that feels different (as in special). Hence the title of the song!” – ION
ABOUT ION
ION spent a large amount of his upbringing in the Kosovan mountains, with this pure environment helping him develop his abstract way of thinking and creating material as an artist. He is able to take ‘inspiration from the smallest of things every day’ and makes music purely because it’s a legitimate art form that he is passionate about. His current artist influences include the likes of JPEGMAFIA and LUCKI.
