Rosey Gold has released her two-track Better Wait EP on Shimza’s Kunye Records, sharpening the slow-burning Afro House sound that has carried her from Johannesburg and Dublin to stages around the world.
The title track pairs the London-based South African DJ and producer with vocalist lordkez. Warm, intimate vocals glide across a piano-rich groove, giving the record emotional pull without softening its heads-down club drive. On the B-side, “False Seduction” moves differently: elastic, spacious and quietly forceful, with smart builds keeping the tension locked.
The release adds another marker to Gold’s rapid rise. After winning the ONE TO WATCH award at the 2025 Beatport Awards, she joined the Beatport Next Class of 2026, continuing a run that has included a Club Room residency at Hï Ibiza and performances at Afro Nation.
