The leading Danish festival adds 34 names to their music line-up which already includes Blur, Christine & The Queens, Burna Boy and more.

Danish non-profit festival Roskilde Festival has unveiled 34 new acts to this summer’s program, including Lil Nas X, Rosalía, Central Cee, Fever Ray, GloRilla, J.I.D and Rema.
Previously, the festival has announced Blur, Burna Boy, Christine & The Queens, Japanese Breakfast and Rina Sawayama as part of the 2023 line-up. Featuring a long list of innovative and progressive acts, the program emphasizes finding new paths in life through art and culture.
Roskilde Festival will also feature the acclaimed American choreographer and dancer Marikiscrycrycry, whom in 2022 was enlisted in Forbes’ 30 Under 30, honoring their contribution to the development of dance in Europe. Having previously exhibited works at Battersea Arts Centre and Centre for Human Rights and the Arts, they will build premier their work DARK, HAPPY, TO THE CORE at Roskilde Festival.

First ever shows in Denmark
Lil Nas X will play his first ever show in Denmark when he plays Roskilde Festival’s biggest stage, Orange Stage. The American hip hop phenomenon and queer icon embarked on his first tour in the fall of 2022, and the ‘Industry Baby’ rapper’s tour immediately garnered praise from many critics.
Compatriot GloRilla also takes on Denmark for the first time when she plays Roskilde Festival. The massively hyped, 23-year-old rapper delivers anthems for female empowerment and was awarded Best New Artist at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2022.
A leading global popstar, Spain’s Rosalía is no newcomer to the Roskilde Festival crowd. In 2019, she delivered a phenomenal show at the festival, hailed as an experience to be remembered for years. Now she is bringing her critically acclaimed 2022 album, ’MOTOMAMI’, to Roskilde Festival.

The 34 acts in today’s announcement span six continents, 11 nations and a long list of genres and styles, from grindcore mastodons Lock Up, afrobeat star Rema and dreamy folk quartet Florist to Colombian composer Lucrecia Dalt and desert blues legends Tinariwen.
Chicago-based Lise Haller Baggesen, Romania’s Kinga Bartis and Daria Blum from Switzerland join Marikiscrycrycry as part of Roskilde Festival’s Art & Activist program.

Roskilde Festival 2023 takes place from 24 June – 1 July.
Since 1971, Roskilde Festival has brought together generations of young people around music, art and community. Roskilde Festival is organised by the Roskilde Festival Charity Society and is created by 30,000 volunteers. All profits from the festival are donated to humanitarian, non-profit and cultural work for the benefit of especially children and young people. Over the years, Roskilde Festival has generated approximately EUR 55 million for charity.
