Bristol born singer-songwriter Rothwell returns with a captivating new single, opting for simplicity and emotion with the pared back sound of ‘I Wonder If You’re Happy’ out this March. This follows on from her recent cover of Annie Lennox’s ‘Why’ for International Women’s Day on 8th March.
She says: “I was sitting on the train to North London headed to a songwriting session when this person got on and sat opposite me. The way they gestured, the way they looked a little bit uncomfortable in their own skin and the way they was dressed reminded me so much of someone who I once thought I loved. It stuck with me, I hadn’t thought about them in such a long time and suddenly it felt like they were sitting right in front of me. All I could think about was how fond of this human I had once been. I wish them well, I hope they’ve found new love and I hope they’re happy. The song wrote itself and I’m so excited to be releasing a song as it was written, just voice and piano.   Here is to friends becoming strangers but remembering people for the good they bought into your life.”
Rothwell was born and bred in Bristol and now resides in London whilst focussing on her artist career and song writing. She has supported Justin Bieber on his ‘Purpose UK Tour’ and played to Sold Out crowds at Both Hyde Park’s British Summer Time and The Isle of Wight Festival. Her recent hit singles ‘Quarter Life Crisis’, ‘Left Me At The Party’ and ‘ Velvet Heart’, described by Clash Magazine as ‘buoyant breezy pop matched with soulful, beguiling vocals’ and  billed as one to watch.

Rothwell has most recently written & featured on ‘Familiar Strangers’ Jack Wins which garnered support & playlist additions on Radio 1 & Kiss FM. Other features include, Metrik, SPY. Previous writing sessions include, Sigma, Red Triangle, Tim Powell (Xenomania), The Nocturns, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, George Kwali, Kideko, Yami, Apres,
