LA-based writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Sad Money is back with his first track of 2021, “Bring Her Home,” out today via Ultra Records.
“Bring Her Home” is a classic Sad Money record. Fusing his signature production and in-demand deep grooves with subtle filtered synths and vocals, “Bring Her Home” is an essential dance cut for this summer. The simplistic sophistication he brings to his groovy house-and-techno inspired sounds are testament to his experience as a writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with a deep catalogue of credits for some of the industry’s top artists.
Sad Money says of the track: “‘Bring Her Home’ is a track that meets the fine middle of being able to play in the club or on a Sunday afternoon while doing laundry. I wanted the lyrics to be about having the unbreakable confidence to shoot your shot in any given circumstance. The confidence shows in the first lyric… ‘Now I don’t fight, but why your girl so fire?’ as I continue to tell a man to let his girl come home with me.”
Prior to this release, Sad Money put out “Lose My Love” featuring Gallant and Felix Cartal on October 30, 2020. “Lose My Love” is a retro-infused, deep house cut with buttery R&B undertones. Markedly groovy and accessible to boot, all three credited artists bring their respective styles to the table to bridge the gap between four-on-the-floor compositions and contemporary soul.
Sad Money broke into the music industry in 2016 producing and collaborating alongside heavyweight artists from the likes of Khalid, Chloe & Halle, Pink Sweats, Duckwrth, Sabrina Claudio, and Black Coffee, just to name a few. In 2019 Sad Money released his debut solo single “Le Freek” signed to Ultra Records, marking the genesis of what quickly became a promising career for the young producer. Despite a string of tumultuous months for the music industry, Sad Money persisted with his single “Come Away” another breakthrough collaboration written alongside Kaskade featuring Sabrina Claudio. Taking his final strides into the new year, Sad Money enlisted the help of EDM pioneer Felix Cartal and acclaimed singer/songwriter Gallant to unveil “Lose My Love” in October 2020.
