Saint Ludo has teamed up with rising Liverpool MC Kasst 8 for a new single, ‘Subliminals’.Fusing the London DJ and producer’s genre-smudging club sound with Kasst 8’s ice-cold flow, the track is an explosive cocktail of rap, grime, and dubstep.
The track has been a popular fixture in Saint Ludo’s set of late; there have already been several viral clips of the track dancefloors. In fact, the online success of the track, particularly on TikTok, is what led to Saint Ludo’s signing with Isekai / Broke.
Speaking on the track’s genesis, Saint Ludo commented: “I’m really inspired by what exists at the intersection of electronic music and rap, both in my production and DJ sets, and this tune comes out of that curiosity. I wanted to make something that could destroy a dance floor but also exist as a standalone rap song. There’s no better person to feature than Kasst 8—I’ve always admired his insane lyrical ability. Plus Liverpool is my favourite city to DJ in, so it felt like the perfect collab.”
‘Subliminals’ is set to appear on Saint Ludo’s forthcoming project, ‘404 Prayer’, which is due for release in 2026.
