This time, the Dutch producer’s signature acid, techno, trance driven high-energy sound expresses a darker theme. ‘Fractured Society’ EP tracks: ‘Excluded’’s wall of a beat, pulsing acid phrases and sharp hoover stabs leave no escape, as soft choral chords suggest beleaguered humanity. ‘Unfair Treatment’ creates a percussive bombardment, snarling staccato phrases, acid biting, biting… the choral wordless melody endures, as if in protest under relentless attack, while in ‘Fractured Society’ thudding beat, brain-melting acid and broken vocal stabs and shutters create a dissonant, dystopian soundscape. Finally ‘Fight For Your Right’’s scattergun percussion and dark driving acid lines evoke conflict and resistance…There’s no argument however about SAMOH’s ever-growing success and techno talent.
