Fresh from its 100th release in April, Agoria’s Sapiens imprint continues its landmark celebrations with rRoxymore, Floyd Lavine, and Head High remixing ‘We Were Little’ by Agoria, Rami Khalifé, Blasé and featuring NOEMIE.
K7!, Smalltown Supersound and Aus artist rRoxymore handles the first remix of ‘We Were Little’ feat NOEMIE and delivers an airy slice of house that blows up the original’s orchestral embers and adds fluttering synths to create a Detroit-inspired future classic for NOEMIE’s glorious vocals to ride atop.
Floyd Lavine’s version of ‘We Were Little’ feat. NOEMIE is a deep, brooding piece of melodic house that, as per his rep, nods to the undulating rhythms of afro-house while adding a propulsive synth growl to the mix. Intoxicating, hypnotic and economical with the original’s vocals, it’s as striking as it is grooved out.
Joining Lavine and rRoyxmore’s interpretations is a René Pawlowitz aka Head High remix. As Head High’s own imprint’s name clearly states, it’s all about Power House here as we’re treated to raucous, chopped breakbeat percussion and staccato stabs providing the groundwork for NOEMIE’s soulful refrains to soar.
A superb remix package of a significant release from one of the most dependable labels around, Agoria, Rami Khalifé, and NOEMIE’s ‘We Were Little’ Remixes is released on Sapiens on June 19th.
