Early Praise for SEBASTIAN PAUL:

“burning a path all his own with a sound that is happily unfamiliar, unique, and entirely infectious” – Ones To Watch

“there’s no doubt in my mind that he has what it takes to take this thing as far as he wants it to go” – Lyrical Lemonade

a distinct sound that’s immediately recognizable.. In addition to the irresistible production, his vocals have an impressive range” – This Song is Sick

“elements of hip-hop, electronic and alternative…warped synths building the suspense of the piece before the industrial sounding bass intensifies alongside the emotive falsetto sounds that become entranced in your head” – Acid Stag

Vocalist, songwriter and producer SEBASTIAN PAUL today shares new single “SO DONE” featuring pop singer/songwriter Phoebe Ryan — the second offering from his forthcoming BOY OH BOY EP, out August 30th via Mad Decent. Sebastian Paul will be joining Louis The Child on tour this November, with dates including NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto, Orlando, and more. Full itinerary below.

Anchored by pulsing synths and breakbeats, “‘SO DONE’ is about the uncertainty of life following a break up,” Sebastian explains. “It speaks to the emotional tendency of needing to leave immediately, regardless of any known destination being pursued.”

“SO DONE” arrives after the music video for recent lead single “INDULGE,” which hit #5 on Hype Machine’s Popular chart, showcasing Sebastian Paul’s emotive, layered vocals over his self-produced hip hop beats, nostalgia-inducing synths, and industrial bass with an innovative, pop-minded approach.

The 5-track BOY OH BOY EP focuses on adolescence, and ultimately the transition from boy to man. “Each track looks to serve as a snapshot into this transitional phase of life, a set of experiences, and lessons,” Sebastian Paul explains. “I’m trying to place the listener right in the center of these moments.” In doing so, BOY OH BOY effortlessly shifts between glee, sorrow, aggression and regret, with his strong sonic identity remaining constant throughout. BOY OH BOY follows Sebastian Paul’s debut TROJAN HORSE EP (released July 2018 via Mad Decent) — an eclectic, 5-track glimpse into the rising artist’s retrofuturistic pop vision.

While currently based between Los Angeles and Colorado, Sebastian Paul claims no specific city of origin. Raised in a military family, where migration is far more commonplace than settling, he was forced to move throughout the entirety of his youth. Sebastian views this experience as a driving factor behind his music – “Moving like that, you meet every kind of person. It forces you to become well-rounded, and you’re exposed to many more experiences than most people are afforded.”
