Triple-threat vocalist, songwriter and producer SEBASTIAN PAUL today shares new single “INDULGE“, out now and streaming everywhere HERE via Mad Decent.
Delivering his emotive, layered vocals over hip hop beats, nostalgia-inducing synths, grungy bass with an innovative pop-minded approach, “INDULGE” sees SEBASTIAN PAUL explore the duality of an inner dialogue trying to quell impulses before succumbing to the urges of inner demons. “‘INDULGE’ is a song about human nature,” Sebastian explains. “The entire track is describing a single fleeting moment, in which impulsiveness reigns over ones better judgement.“

“Go right ahead you do you and just indulge / But don’t come crying to me when you end up / Worse than you were off before” he sings over the ebbs and flows of the synth-driven soundscape, before swelling into the sub-falsetto euphoria of the hook while ceding control: “Dive in, dive in, dive in, I / Give in, give in, give in but / Nothing, nothing could ever satisfy / Trying to scratch an itch I just can’t get it until I / Indulge.”
Written and produced entirely by SEBASTIAN PAUL, “INDULGE” follows his debut TROJAN HORSE EP (released July 2018 via Mad Decent) — an eclectic, 5-track glimpse into his retrofuturistic pop. SEBASTIAN PAUL has been hard at work on his follow up EP both in the studio and on the road while touring, stay tuned for more new music during the summer of 2019 and an exciting support tour announcement.
Sebastian claims no specific city of origin. Growing up in a military family where migration is far more commonplace than settling, he was forced to move throughout the entirety of his youth. Sebastian views this experience as a driving factor behind his music – “Moving like that, you meet every kind of person,” he says. “It forces you to become well rounded, and you’re exposed to many more experiences than most people are afforded.”
