Washington DC-based artist Misha has been turning heads in the modern house music scene of late through releases on labels like Hottrax and his own High Class Nasty, key residencies at Echostage and Soundcheck, and regular support from the likes of Marco Carola and Jamie Jones. With his latest work, Misha brings his edgy, forward-facing grooves to Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars label for the first time, in collaboration with fellow Serbian producer Mene as the pair come fresh off a recent collab via Music On.
“Thrilled to have “The Big Mango” EP land on a legendary label such as Repopulate Mars. We knew it would be a perfect fit and had a great time making it. I think each track has a unique vibe, and I’m excited to finally share it with everyone!” – Misha (US).
Misha & Mene’s smash collab ‘The Big Mango’ opens with big drums that land heavy while a rumbling bassline paves the way for bright synth stabs and florid flute motifs to add bright colour. Misha (US) then goes solo on ‘Thug Life’, a turbocharged groove with edgy, high-speed drums and warped synths next to filtered vocals, before ‘Night Owl’ closes out with slamming, hardcore house kicks and monster bass that make for an inescapably physical workout.
Misha (US) & Mene ‘The Big Mango’ EP drops via Repopulate Mars on 11th April 2025.
