“Oscillate” is a low-slung tech tool built for late-night business. It’s anchored by an elastic bassline, crisp 808s, and sharp percussive accents. The hypnotic, looped vocal repeats the track’s namesake like a mantra, pulling dancers deeper into a dark, rolling groove. Prior to this release, the pair already boasts an extensive history of mutual remixes and collaborations, with fan-favorite cuts like “Time Wasting” and “Body Feels,” showcasing their undeniable chemistry and setting the tone for their latest release.
Says SHADED about their collaboration, “We always gel in the studio. West Coast California is in our roots. We have so many similar influences that it’s just easy to make records together.”
Harvard Bass echoes his excitement around keeping the momentum going with his underground cohort: “This happened to be my fourth time collaborating with SHADED. Every time we are in the studio together we have so much fun and you can hear it in the music. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.”
Southern California-bred producer SHADED has been a staple of the underground scene for more than a decade, pushing his unique blend of funky, psychedelic-filled grooves through a host of genres ranging from tech house, indie dance, electro, techno, and beyond. His deep catalog has been praised by industry heavyweights, including Pete Tong (who awarded him coveted ‘Essential New Tune’ status), as well as support from Mixmag’s (including a ‘Tune of the Month’ feature), and has been praised by Tiga, Patrick Topping, Jamie Jones, and Dubfire.
Mexican-American producer Harvard Bass is a champion from the underground circuit, a rhythmic mastermind known for his ass-shaking ghetto tech rhythms. He holds releases with iconic names like Green Velvet, Brodinski, Oliver Dollar, Prok & Fitch, cementing his status as a rhythmic innovator and tastemaker.
Together, SHADED and Harvard Bass deliver “Oscillate,” a pulsing after-hours cut that highlights their everlasting synergy—stripped, sleek, and built to move bodies.
SHADED & Harvard Bass’ new single “Oscillate” is available on all platforms via IN/ROTATION Records.

More about SHADED
SHADED has a signature sound. It’s a weaving combination of driving, psychedelic vibes and funk-inspired textures. His sound is undeniable in character, and whilst his production style is constantly evolving, he always stays true to his Southern California roots.
As a slew of released material will all attest, SHADED is on fire in every sense of the word. His releases have been signed to leading labels, namely TRICK, Dirty Bird, Experts Only, and Hot Creation. He has fans across the globe in such luminaries as Patrick Topping, Dubfire, Jamie Jones, and Tiga. If you’re a long-term fan or just discovering him through Desert Hearts or Turbo Recordings channels, there’s never been a better time to light the touch paper and indeed get Lit.
Some die-hard fans may know SHADED from the SHDWPLAY duo days. After a string of successful releases together on the aforementioned Dubfire’s SCI+TEC imprint, he ventured down the solo path which ultimately proved the right move,
with releases like “Be My Binge”, ‘Dwell’ and ‘Crayzy’. Still great friends today, it wasn’t long until Turbo’s head honcho Tiga picked up on SHADED’s fresh approach, and led to a total of 5 EP’s on Turbo which includes the label’s best-selling release and Mixmag’s ‘Tune of the Month’ for ‘She She’ to “Body Feels”, which was heavily supported by Loco Dice, The Martinez Brothers and
Martin Buttrich. He’s also a key associate with Patrick Topping’s label TRICK, with two releases – ‘Midnight Minds’ & ‘Naught Mofo’ – where the first had a remix from Hot Creations label head Jamie Jones, as well as being part of the Patrick’s Tasty Techno Volume One compilation with his track ‘Bad Mofo’.
His remix schedule has been equally slick and serene, with reworks for Tiga, Mikey Lion, Boys Noize, Marbs, Oliver Huntemann, Alex Kennon, Dubfire, long time collaborator Harvard Bass and his Beatport No.2 minimal remix for Christian Smith in 2017. SHADED’s remix of ‘Rising’ (SHADED’s Realized Dreams Remix), a tune by Anabel Englund and company, was bestowed with the coveted Essential New Tune from Pete Tong, and was played extensively by Danny Howard and Mistajam on BBC Radio 1 alike. His twisted remix for a Joyce Muniz track ‘Chapter 4’ featuring Aquarius Heaven on Exploited hit hard in 2019, then his ‘Ripple’ EP was unleashed on Senso. Following further releases on Desert Hearts and an EP back in the Turbo fold, Skyler then made his debut on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations label with the hugely supported jam ‘Mad Stacks’.
SHADED’s music has continued to keep rolling out, with one such EP was “Holla Atcha Boy” which was – naturally – championed by industry figurehead Claude VonStroke and a key release on DirtyBird. A previous release on Turbo, ‘My Stimuli’, also connected the dots from electro to hip hop to house to indie-dance and reminded everyone why he’s such a good fit for Tiga’s sensibility. Oliver Huntemann’s Senso imprint has also had a few releases and Skyler appeared on the imprint’s 5th birthday with a belter of a tune titled ‘I Got Haters’.
In the end of 2023, Skyler had a track ‘Jack Your Body’ on Jamie Jones’ sub-label Hottrax, his ‘Nasty Freaks’ EP on Yolanda Be Cool’s dancefloor focussed label Club Sweat, the techno track ‘Silent Silence’ as part of the 25th anniversary
release for Tiga’s label Turbo Recordings, and a monster of a club anthem ‘Don Julio’ that has been a key record within Jon Summit’s sets in 2023 that was released on his relaunched label ‘Experts Only’.
All in all, the ever-moving and funk-shaking Skyler is on a mission to spread the SHADED vibe to as many people in as many ways as possible, and who are we to stand in his way?

More about Harvard Bass
Mexican-American bad-boy Victor ‘Harvard Bass’ has always brought together the raw appeal of American booty with the style and function of European Ass. His sound has earned him in-crew-sion in Seth Troxler’s Tuskegee posse, Green Velvet’s Relief Records, and Tiga’s Turbo. With years of releases under his belt, he’s maintained an impressively consistent voice.
It all comes down to the fact that he is a bonafide sex addict who managed to turn a problem into a career by combining his obsession with thickness and his prowess for production. His Releases can be heard as Harvard Bass’ confession, his plea of insanity
set to the sound of a perfectly functioning Ibiza super-club, complete with sexy paid dancers, industrial smoke cannons, and the kind of mass communal ego death that comes from 10+ straight hours of tech-house. Boom-time, ladies and gentlemen.
