The film, which juxtaposes the famed 90’s Spanish clubbing movement Ruta Del Bakalao with a period piece set in the 1600s, is a story of resilience and survival in a world where all aspects of society are hell-bent on conforming those who deviate from the norm. In the video, Sita and others like her are condemned as witches due to their “abnormal” appearances (featuring Sita’s iconic blue hair) and hunted by the townsfolk. “This could have been me in a past life, somehow,” Sita remarks on the role. Speaking to the true nature of her ever-evolving character, It’s Sita’s first proper foray into acting, sharing the screen with award-winning actress Rossy De Palma (JulietaThe Flower of My Secret) and Lola Rodriguez (Veneno).

I’ve been trying to shoot a narrative music video for a while now but, for some reason, never really had the chance—often because the song structure wouldn’t allow it or because the artists or labels weren’t so keen on landing their music to something that’s not music-centric. Luckily, Sita and her team were very open to going the other way, and the track itself is – strangely enough – very cinematic. Sita’s acting skills came naturally, along with the willingness to immerse herself in the character and the world we’ve built around her, not to mention the fact that she brought along some amazing actors and, to top it all off, an icon of European cinema like Rossy de Palma.  — Francesco Calabrese

“DIABLA” comes from SITA’s debut EP, Generacion XDISIS, a concept project that depicts her own metamorphosis, focusing on the idea of mutation, evolution, and shedding skin. SITA shares the story of her journey and transformation from DJ to producer, from club kid to having kids, and exploring her creativity like she never has before. Outfitted with her firmly established aesthetic through her previous creative projects in fashion and music, SITA is equipped to serve as a new type of storyteller in the realm of techno, both through production and lyricism.

Over a decade, SITA has proven herself as a multi-hyphenate creative icon and internet phenomenon who matrices fashion, music, and digital culture into a persona unlike any other. She’s styled stars like Kim Kardashian and J. Balvin, created a jewelry line (Lilith) that’s been supported by Vogue and Billie Eilish, collaborated on designs with major brands like FendiFaith Connexion — while becoming a mother in 2022 and having her second child last September
