Since 2014, Brimingham based producer and DJ Skoden has carved out a name for himself within the techno scene in the UK and beyond. His earlier years were defined by the inspiration he took from the sound and culture of the undergrounds harder and faster sounds. Fast forward to today, and after a string of massive releases on labels to include Go Hard or Go Hardcore, Sacred Court,Cause Records, Broken Strain, Green Fetish Records and his own BDYRT, Skoden is back on the legendary HEKATE, with his 3rd release.
After his ‘Louder’ EP on HEKATE in 2025, he returns this August with ‘Rave System’ a 3-track EP that embodies his current direction, a little slower on the BPM, a focus on the groovier side of techno, yet still keeping the release high energy as always.

Getting more personal with his fans, Skoden has opened up about serving in the British Army for 5 years, and how this has impacted not only his personal life, but his career choices, along with the music that he makes. A way to channel hard emotions at times, music was and still is for many a coping mechanism. “It’s a project that most honestly reflects where I am creatively now. There is a stronger sense of rhythm, space and progression, to pull people deeper into the moment” – adds Ryan
Opening the EP with maximum intent, ‘Rave System’ sits somewhere between modern Hard Dance and peak-time Techno, driven by punchy, bouncing grooves, pumping basslines and crisp rolling percussion. Rave-inspired synth work and infectious vocal chops inject constant energy throughout, creating a track that feels equally at home in warehouses, festivals and highintensity club sets.
Eskimo Bounce’ leans further into Skoden’s playful side, fusing donk-inspired Hard Dance with subtle schranz influences and an abundance of personality. Outlandish samples, pumping rhythms and quirky vocal chops combine with relentless dancefloor momentum, resulting in a track that refuses to take itself too seriously while delivering maximum impact where it matters.
Closing the release, ‘YaYa 2 Passi’ continues the EP’s high-energy trajectory through inventive sampling, dynamic rhythmic movement and festival-ready drive. Creative bridge sections and cleverly placed vocal shots keep the arrangement constantly evolving, building towards explosive moments that make it a natural standout for DJs looking to inject fresh energy into their sets.
