The Tomorrowland 2025 ID arrives ahead of Skrillex’s Solomun +1 appearance on July 5.
Solomun and Skrillex are setting the stage for their Ibiza b2b in a big way: the release of their longtime ID, “Rumpta.”
While the duo has likely gone back and forth in Dropbox, fine-tuning the final version that now lands via Diynamic, the collaboration is more than a single the producers put together ahead of Skrillex’s Solomun +1 date on July 5. Its roots trace back to Tomorrowland 2025, where the Pacha New York opener premiered the demo, reports Alleined. After debuting in Boom, Belgium, an updated version of “Rumpta” resurfaced in Solomun’s Tehmplo Tulum set in January and has since reappeared throughout his live performances, including at EDC Las Vegas’ 30th anniversary.
While Skrillex’s most recent solo release – his fifth studio album, SOMA – was full of blitzing BPMs and heavier-handed arrangements, “Rumpta” slows things downs, locking into a sauntering 128 with a hearty groove. An standout moment of Skrillex and Solomun’s Ibiza b2b in the making, no doubt.
