With 45 new names announced today, the Sónar 2023 musical lineup is now finalised. Enigmatic cult artist Aphex Twin; Barcelona’s own global superstar Bad Gyal; Eric Prydz’s colossal 3-D live show HOLO; acclaimed British rapper Little Simz; and the refined house of South Africa’s Black Coffee are just four of the highlights from a list that includes superstar DJs, the most forward-thinking musical minds, and unique performances.
Today also sees the first names announced for the most interactive edition of Sónar+D yet, with the vast majority of activities open to the general public at Sónar by Day. Under the same roof as DJs and concerts, this year’s programme will explore hot topic issues – AI and its implications for art and society in general, the climate emergency and how creators are responding to it, and creative processes and practices. As always the programme will explore the changing relationships between technology, research, creativity, artistic experimentation and cultural innovation.
Line-ups and individual tickets are now available for Friday and Saturday Night. All tickets are on sale here.
With four months to go to the festival, the stage is set for a 30th anniversary celebration for the ages.
