Neo soul artist, LIZZI, continues to captivate with a stunning new video for ‘Try’, taken from her anticipated debut EP ‘After Hours’, due in April 2020.

Drawing on a myriad of influences ranging from neo soul peppered with R&B, electronic and jazz, the East London based singer-songwriter and producer, crafts emotive, introspective pop that transpires naturally and organically.

She says: “Each track from the EP captures different phases of my last relationship, the highs and lows and the learning that you take away from it. The songs are definitely just as much about self-discovery as they are about relationships. The EP, After Hours, has a double meaning for me as it was heavily inspired by my last relationship which, after hours of trying for so long ended, and also because I am most creative at night time.”

Born in Houston, her singing prowess was identified from a young age when singing in her local choir before relocating to England when she was ten. LIZZI taught herself to produce with all of the tracks from her forthcoming EP starting out from her bedroom studio and co-produced the EP with several different producers weaving her signature sound throughout. Her previous single, ‘Longing’ was described by The Line of Best Fit as ‘fresh and beautifully entrancing’ and garnered support from BBC Introducing.

Having stages across London from Old Blue Last, The Social, Bermondsey Social Club, Paper Dress Vintage to Nottinghill Arts Club, Lizzi is in the process of putting together a series of live shows across the UK very soon.
