Rising DJ and producer duo Trip Trop recently entered the scene with addictive records that have gained the attention of heavyweights such as Excision, Krewella, Flosstradamus, and JSTJR. Their SoundCloud “Trip Trop Twists” have further catapulted them into the spotlight, with viral remixes including Ray Volpe’s “Laserbeam” and Dombresky’s “Wait.”
Peruvian-born, LA-based artist Britt Lari wears many hats, from producing records, to recording and writing toplines. With airplay from KISS FM to SiriusXM Chill and syncs on TV shows like Queer as Folk, she’s become an in-demand collaborator in the electronic music circuit – working with names such as Blanke, Level 8, CloZee, and Foxela (on the Monstercat record “No Rules”). Growing her name as a solo artist with records like “Say My Name,” she is certainly one to watch. Fans may also recognize her project BIMINI, where she fuses her stunning vocals over warm, ethereal instrumentation and LoFi production – taking inspiration from ODESZA and RÜFÜS DU SOL.
CHYL shares, “When I heard Britt Lari’s vocals for this song, I immediately thought the melody and lyrics were right up my alley. I started working on the song during a session with Trip Trop and we wanted to make it a song that elicited that same feeling of a night drive. It’s fun, mysterious, and adventurous. We really hope the listeners enjoy this track and add it to their journeys!”
Trip Trop adds, “We met CHYL online through her discord and she had been playing out one of our remixes. She shared the idea of “Nite Mode,” and we really loved the vibe of the track and Britt’s vocals! Fast forward a few months later, we ended up meeting up again at the Monstercat studio and finalizing the track!”
Britt Lari comments, “I wrote this song with Alex Reid. I love writing with him because we both have a very playful and carefree approach to making music. “Nite Mode” is about living in the moment and enjoying who you are without any pressures. Britt Lari Bio
Los Angeles based artist, Britt Lari, also known as BIMINI, is a singer, songwriter, and producer of electronic music. Originally a skilled pianist, she eventually earned the title of international elite gymnast, while simultaneously maintaining a prominent singing career in her beloved hometown of Lima, Peru.
A multi-instrumentalist, she grew up playing music but became interested in recording and production at the age of 19. Though her focus is Pop/Electronic, Britt has composed for a variety of genres and does not place creative boundaries in her compositions. Britt’s music has earned features from hit music radio stations like SiriusXM Chill and KISS FM to Spotify editorial playlists like New Music Friday. In addition, her music has also earned sync placements in commercial ads, tv series, and apps and has collaborated with high profile artists from all over the world.
Britt’s work is a blend of her many talents, incorporating her passion for music and sound with the beauty of body movement, and last but not least, her latinx heritage.
