Anjunadeep affiliates Steven Weston and Braxton join forces to deliver two hefty melodic workouts for the’ Lanes’ EP on Bedrock Records. The release sees the return of celebrated producer, DJ, and audio engineer Steven Weston to John Digweed’s Bedrock label and welcomes Colorize and SHÉN artist Braxton for their first collaborative EP, following a previous Braxton remix of Weston’s work.
First up, the title track of Steven Weston and Braxton’s ‘Lanes’ EP drops with futuristic breakbeats, otherworldly arpeggios, and bass bin-rattling low-end offset by breathy vocal harmonies. ‘Splendor’ follows up, reimagining ‘Lanes’ with a different use of its vocal and featuring a steady club beat before breaking down into a gorgeous whirlpool of melody at the halfway mark.
