Maribou State, the duo comprising Chris Davids and Liam Ivory, are set to release their first original production since 2018’s critically acclaimed album ‘Kingdoms in Colour’ on Ninja Tune.
‘Mother’ is the second single from ‘fabric presents Maribou State’, their eclectic contribution to the London club’s iconic mix series. A multi-layered garage-infused gem that glistens with a powerful vocal and melodic bass notes, Davids says it was created with the Farringdon institution very much in view. “We had fabric’s legendary Room One in mind when we made this track. It’s our interpretation of some of the sounds we’ve heard at the club over the years, stretching back to our time there as teenagers.”
