Zurich – born London – based Natascha Polké recently rose from the Swiss techno underground to become a world name as her sweet/dark mix of indie/folk – pop with techno won her millions of Spotify streams, the London Roundhouse Rising prize leading to a 4 – year residency , and releases on Anjunadeep, Einmusika, Stil vor Talent and Gardens of Babylon , as well as live performances at Club Chinoi s Ibiza, Scorpios Mykonos, Hamburg ’ s Dockville … with the likes of Parra for Cuva, Agoria, Tale of Us, Rampa, Christian Löffler, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Miss Monique.
‘ Into You ’ title track : Natascha ’ s indie/folk background seeds an organic melodic house vibe as icicle chimes introduce her ethereal, otherworldly voice, before heating up with a faster beat behind subtle layers of synth chords and piano note clusters. The romantic lyrics hide a possible darker edge – ‘ I ’ m into you, I ’ m giving into you ’… The uplifting track ’ s plangent melodies , sweet vocals and subtle electronic beats creat e a warmth to welcome Spring.
‘ This is one of my favourite tracks I ’ ve ever written . The idea started when I was lying in a sound bath listening to gongs, very deep frequency sounds , and then, these bells. Music touches me though I never cry but these made me well up. I went home and started recording, the track came about within 4 hours. A beautiful flow. A love song about my relationship .
