Metz-based DJ and producer Taaris is a resident with London’s Elata collective and heads up the Native Rhythm collective in Paris. She is deeply connected to the ancestral power of music and brings shamanic vibes to her hypnotic grooves, always with the intention of immersing listeners in the spiritual experience of an Ayahuasca ceremony.
The potent ‘Nankay’ kicks off with tightly stacked kicks and rumbling bass. Trippy FX are scattered throughout the mix to place you at the centre of an HD sound world alive with menace, mystery, and mischief. Second cut ‘Ranzai’ is a deep but full body workout with tribal drums and glitchy textures locking you into the here and now. Wispy pads and ghostly apparitions flicker in and out of focus and transport you deep into a steamy, humid jungle.
Brazilian techno powerhouse Vinicius Honorio was last here with his ‘Direto’ EP in 2024 and is renowned for a trippy and foreboding sound that is dark and dubby. He flips ‘Ranzai’ into a supple deep techno roller with oversized hi-hats and eerie details, bringing it to life in surreal fashion.
