Berlin’s Tal Fussman lands on SEVEN with the ‘No Disco’ EP, arriving this May and coming with a remix from Deetron. Fussman follows up releases on the likes of Rekids, COD3QR, and his own Survival Tactics, which have seen him become a favourite in House and Techno with regular support from Marcel Dettmann, Honey Dijon, Dave Clarke, Âme, DJ Hell, Binh and many more.
Tal Fussman’s ‘No Disco’ sets the tone with the earworm title track, boasting his signature percussion-heavy drums alongside reverb-soaked vocals and an infectious melody. ‘Release’ then gives nods to the golden era of Progressive House with expansive chords and driving congas, while Deetron’s remix of the track strips things down with a Detroit-inspired groove.
On the flip, ‘Sunset Falling Down’ sees Fussman layer his rolling drums with Latin rhythm, including whistles, vocal chops and more expert sampling, while warm, dream-like pads emerge from below. ‘Is It Real?’ closes the EP with a Chicago-inspired touch, slowing down the groove while subtle, classic House chords build up to a hands-in-the-air, feel-good drop.
SEVEN is a queer and FLINTA* leaning label that plays with the intersection of house and techno music. Based in Berlin, SEVEN was made to break new ground, creating a truly inclusive space within the electronic music industry where diverse voices, talents, and sounds thrive, having released music from artists like Retromigration, Sol Ortega, Ackerman, and Andre Zimmer, as well as the label’s own CRYME & Posture.
