German duo Adana Twins need little introduction as the creators behind Planet TAU, globetrotting selectors and widely respected producers. Hardt Antoine has already graced the label with his ingenuity, delivering the superb ‘Many People EP’ back in 2023, while further cuts on the likes of Innervisions and Kompakt have put him right at the forefront in the last year.
The EP gets up and running with the fantastic ‘Feel’, which has a hypnotically oscillating low end propelled by crisp beats and the repeated female vocal clip. Things build towards the 90s sounding breakdown, and as the bassline comes back in, the stab-driven melody continues, and a siren-esque alert will surely blow up the dance floor. ‘Forget’ follows with a more lowdown tone. A darker vibe brings with it a moody bassline, emotive layers and a melancholy melody, while warped vocals complement the grey hues over pumping beats and a bright breakdown. Finally, ‘Crazy’ has another moody low end as pitched-up vocals evoke a feeling of the past while the overall production and atmosphere are very much of the future. Melodic elements add a strange allure, and the whole thing emits a feeling of mystery and suspense before another almighty breakdown sends dancers into a frenzy.
