PXMurphy is known for his work in television and advertising music, as well as for his role in Electric Penguins. The new single emerged organically from experimental studio sessions and file-sharing between the pair. “We suddenly got inspired by something,” Murphy explains during a recent Zoom conversation. “If we both buzz off it, we start digging in and seeing what comes out.” For Mann, the challenge was finding an emotional truth inside such an iconic song. “If you’re going to do a cover,” she says, “you’ve got to have something soulful — depth, honesty, empathy. Otherwise you’re just doing a cover.” The duo describe the recording as “time travel through music,” blending echoes of 1950s cinema, 1970s pop sincerity, ambient electronica, and avant-garde theatre influences into something entirely their own. “It’s a completely different song,” Mann reflects, “and at the same time, it has the same heart.” “Around The World” by Teanga Teanga is released worldwide on June 26th,2026.

Their new single is a haunting re-imagining of the classic “Around The World.” Originally made famous by Nat King Cole, the 1956 standard is transformed into a synth pop-electro meditation on memory, longing, time, and emotional authenticity. Rather than recreating the orchestral grandeur of the original, Teanga Teanga excavates its emotional core and rebuilds it through cinematic synths, spectral textures, spoken passages, sweeping strings, and Pamela Sue Mann’s intimate, deeply human vocal performance.
