The Shapeshifters unveils the deluxe edition of studio album ‘Let Loose’ on Glitterbox. Described by Simon Marlin himself as a “career milestone”, ‘Let Loose: Deluxe’ bolsters the original LP with remixes from fellow industry titans from all corners of the globe. The long-awaited 2022 release saw Simon Marlin work with luminaries from the world of disco, house and soul like Billy Porter, Joss Stone, Kimberly Davis and Teni Tinks, and the album succeeded in pushing The Shapeshifters sonic aesthetic, retaining the brassy, string flourishes and colourful instrumentation that we have come to expect.
One year later, ‘Let Loose: Deluxe’ features fresh takes on the original album tracks from David Penn, Dimitri from Paris, Aeroplane, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy, Sophie Lloyd, Ray Mang, Dr Packer, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Moplen, and Marlin himself. The package also features a special unheard remix of the 2005 Shapeshifters classic ‘Back To Basics’ from bonafide American legend and Defected House Master, the late Frankie Knuckles. After an incredible showing at major house music events and festivals globally throughout the entirety of 2023, The Shapeshifters has never been more equipped for worldwide domination.
