Tiberius is the dynamic emo psychedelia project led by Brendan Wright. They are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of their latest EP, “Fish in a Pond”. The 7-track album will be available on all major streaming platforms starting from June 30, 2023, and is sure to captivate listeners with its introspective and energetic sound.

“Fish in a Pond” transports listeners on a dreamy and nostalgic journey, blending elements of psychedelic indie, emo, alt-country, and folk-pop tunes. With moody drones and heartfelt lyrics, Tiberius delivers a unique musical experience. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Pinegrove, Car Seat Headrest, Field Medic, The Flaming Lips, and Tame Impala, Tiberius meshes them all together to bring their own distinct voice to the indie music scene.

The focus track ‘Clippers’ was crafted by Brendan Wright, who wrote and recorded everything himself in his dingy Allston house and the newly extinct Sound Museum warehouse. Collaborating with band members Kelven Polite (bass), Christian Pace (guitar), and Ben Curell (drums), Tiberius has crafted a track that captures the essence of their live performances while pushing the boundaries of traditional album structure.

On the record, Tiberius says:

This record is about finding oneself in their twenties. It explores themes of slipping into the monotonous aches of domesticated ‘9 to 5’ life, the expectations and understanding of belonging to a community, the anxiety that can come with being perceived in the eyes of the other, as well as trying to live up to the preconceived notions that one makes for themselves and where they “should be” in life at this point.”

With their unique blend of instruments, including guitar, drums, bass, synth, clarinet, and vocals, Tiberius creates a captivating sonic landscape that resonates with listeners on a deeper level than most.
