“Echo Sax Finale” is every bit as formidable as its name suggests. The latest single from Tiësto‘s forthcoming LP gives the viral saxophone melody from Caleb Arredondo’s 2024 hit “Echo Sax End” a trance-fueled jolt, fashioning the instrumentalist’s rousing original into a supercharged anthem that’s been detonating across stages worldwide since it debuted during the producer’s show at the Pyramids of Giza in December.
But “Echo Sax Finale” lives up to its name in more than just its sound. Tiësto’s rendition is the final installment in Arredondo’s lauded “Echo Sax” series, a lucid run of songs that’s shown the evocative power of the saxophone with a focus on natural acoustics, said by Arredondo to “really bring out the color in music.” The saxophonist has built a following for his solitary videos of his horn work, often shot in dusky everyday settings: parking garages and lots, cathedrals, and more.
“Echo Sax Finale” continues to pave the path to Tiësto’s eighth studio album, following “Don’t Lose Your Head” with Olivia Sebastianelli in May. The project’s release date has yet to be announced.
