Sardinian producer and label co-head Tooker returns to his imprint, SONARA, for the release of ‘Rosanera’, dropping April 3rd.Former member of the DJ duo KMLN, Tookeris a multi-instrumentalist producer known for his captivating live performances spanning 15 years. Tooker blends Electronic sets with live percussion to create immersive and rhythmic experiences. His previous releases on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Mobilee, and Sol Selectas have received support from artists such as Âme, Bedouin, Damian Lazarus, and more.
Tooker’s ‘Rosanera’ was written several years ago, a melodic rhythm that rotated between dancefloors. At the heart of Tooker’s ‘Rosanera’, is a live violin recorded by French composer Mathilde Marsal, withstrings stretching and gliding, whilst synths radiate angelic chords atop feather-weight percussion.
Co-founded by Tooker and Jay Kurahashi-Sofue, alongside artist David Mayer and Nico Stojan, SONARA’s music blends ambient textures, deep electronic grooves, and Afro-infused rhythms, often woven with live instrumentation.
