Dublin’s Paul Denton and Welsh native Will Rees have mirrored one another in terms of strength and scope for nearly two decades. In 2025, the timelines of two of trance music’s finest collided with the launch of their collaborative endeavor, Parallel Worlds. The powerhouse pairing is now descending deeper into their alternate reality with the release of their debut single for Dreamstate. “Get High” is tech trance at its most uncompromising. It’s tough club stuff with no fluff, concocted with booming percussive drive, cantering bassline rolls, flaring techno stabs, and hypnotic vocal loops. Halfway through, the track screeches to a halt, revealing a dark, industrial-laced breakbeat section—compounding its adrenalizing effects before reverting back to its mydriatic tech form.
Touching on the track’s electric reception, Will Rees shares, “‘Get High’ was a stand out track in our debut set as Parallel Worlds. A crossover track influenced by techno, trance, and breakbeat.”
Conceived after a wildly successful back-to-back set at Ministry of Sound in London, Parallel Worlds is an outlet for high-impact club sounds honed by two of the sharpest producers in the trance community. It’s a partnership that has been percolating since they first banded together for their “Fluidity” collab in 2020, which earned an outpour of support from frequent cosigners including Giuseppe Ottaviani, Bryan Kearney, Aly & Fila, Armin van Buuren, Sean Tyas, and John O’Callaghan, to name a few. Five years down the line, Paul Denton and Will Rees reconvened for a legendary back-to-back set at the FSOE London showcase, prompting the formation of their new project via its maiden single “Liberty” one year ago. In November, Parallel Worlds hosted its debut performance for Kearnage at Trance Sanctuary, teasing the ID for the first time, quickly becoming a fan-favorite, expected to remain a staple of their performances across appearances at Luminosity, Unkonscious Festival, Rong, and more festivals to be announced.
As Parallel Worlds prepares to expand its presence on a global scale, “Get High” is an intoxicating tech trance single primed to alter the headspace of every dancefloor it encounters from this point forward.
Parallel World’s new single “Get High” is available on all platforms via Dreamstate Records.
