Très Mortimer turns confidence into club currency on new Optics Records release, ‘PRADA’

Très Mortimer returns to his Optics Records imprint with ‘PRADA’, a bold, floor-focused release that channels Chicago house tradition through a contemporary lens. Landing on 13th February, the two-track package sees Mortimer explore dual sides of his sound, pairing a playful, peak-time original with a darker, after-hours rework under his Hans alter ego.

Born on the dance floor, ‘PRADA’ is a celebration of confidence, style, and presence, a ‘love letter to the women who command the room without ever asking permission’. It taps into the moment when the bass drops, the lights align, and the energy shifts, capturing the feeling of total self-assurance that defines great club records.

True to OG Chicago house culture, ‘PRADA’ arrives with two distinct mixes, nodding to the era when legends such as Cajmere would press multiple versions of tracks across the same vinyl. The original mix is bouncy and jackin’, driven by breakbeats and infectious groove, built for hands-in-the-air moments and high-energy floors. In contrast, the ‘Hans Mix’ flips the mood entirely; stripped-back, dark and relentless, powered by heavy basslines and gritty drum programming, designed for locked-in late-night rooms and deeper sessions.

Chicago-born and globally active, Très Mortimer has quickly built a name for groove-led club music that resists gimmicks, with releases on Three Six Zero, Ministry of Sound, Slacker 85, Sound International, and Mad Decent, earning support from artists including Seth Troxler, Carlita, BLOND:ISH, Diplo, Keinemusik, PAWSA, Joseph Capriati, Odd Mob, and more. Through Optics Records, he’s curating a platform firmly rooted in house music’s origins while looking to its future, and this latest instalment reflects both artist and label perfectly.

Très Mortimer ‘PRADA’ drops via Optics Records on 13th February 2026.
