Some of comedy’s most memorable moments come from Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari as Buffy and Hildegard in the early ’80’s cult classic TV series “Bosom Buddies” and Robin Williams in the blockbloster smash Mrs. Doubtfire. Today (August 14) Matt Halper and Eli Sones, the young masterminds behind Los Angeles’ TWO FRIENDS, transform themselves into aged love interests for several young suitors in the comedic video for their newest single “Bandaid” which made its premier today (August 14) via Billboard ahead of their appearance at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival this weekend.

“This whole concept for the Bandaid music video started out as a joke during a FaceTime chat between us and the director Justin Pagano. We took the original meaning of the song– which is kind of about when you find someone new solely for the sake of getting over the last person, with no intentions of anything serious– and basically thought ‘What is the most absurd way we can demonstrate this situation?’ saysTWO FRIENDS. ” We came up with the idea of a grandma that all the guys would chase, even though she isn’t looking for anything serious. At first we were trying to cast older ladies but the dancing scenes just weren’t feasible, so someone basically said ‘Hey why don’t you guys do it?’- and immediately we were very down. Haha! This was definitely the most insane video we’ve ever filmed. We each were in makeup chairs for 3-4 hours and had to work with a choreographer which were both definitely firsts. Super super stoked how it turned out and we’re excited to send it out into the world.”
TWO FRIENDS have quickly grown from high school bedroom producers into one of the most promising songwriters in dance music. Known for their viral remixes of Dua Lipa‘s “IDGAF,” Charlie Puth‘s “How Long,” MGMT‘s “Kids” The Killers’ “Mr Brightside” and Kanye West’s “Touch The Sky,” as well as their latest original offerings “Just A Kid,” “While We’re Dreaming,” “Emily” and “Out Of Love,” the two have quickly mastered a wide range of genres from pop-leaning to dance-driven records. Collectively their tracks garner over 860,000 monthly listens on Spotify.
With support now coming from the likes of Tiesto, The Chainsmokers (who touted them to Billboardas one of the most underrated dance artiststoday), Martin Garrix, and many more, and with a whole host of original releases locked in for the second half of 2018, TWO FRIENDS undoubtedly look set to dominate this year and beyond.
