UK talent Flex debuts on Trick with ‘Panty Droppa

Flex is one of the UK’s most exciting new names in minimal and tech house. Bursting onto the scene aged just 17, he quickly broke through with ‘6 In The Morning,’ an official release with Nate Dogg on Sony that hit #37 on the UK Singles Chart, #9 on the Dance Chart, and surpassed 30 million streams. Supported by heavyweights like Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, and Paco Osuna, Flex has already played iconic venues such as Amnesia, Hï Ibiza, and Space Miami, while headlining across Europe. Now, still riding high, he makes his debut on Patrick Topping’s Trick imprint with the ‘Panty Droppa’ EP.

“I made the A-side after finding a really obscure sample on YouTube. It came together so quickly, and I didn’t think much of it until I sent it out in a promo folder to Pat. I remember getting sent a video by one of my mates of him playing it at UNVRS. I was so buzzing. A few weeks later, Pat asked me if I wanted to sign it to Trick, which for me is such a full circle moment, as Pat was one of the first DJs I saw when I was only like 16. – Flex (UK).

Opener ‘Panty Droppa’ sees Flex team up with South Side Chicago’s own Youngblaze, a multi-faceted talent whose DIY approach has earned him a loyal online following and now global live touring. The track is a mischievous club weapon with taut bass rebounding under razor-sharp drum funk. It’s a tight, clipped groove to get the floor bouncing while flashy stabs and sleazy bars from YoungBlaze light it up for maximum impact in the club. Next up is ‘Uno’, a turbocharged roller with siren-like stabs, high-octane percussion, and a smart vocal sample that amps up the energy into overdrive.

Flex (UK) ‘Panty Droppa’ EP drops via Trick on 12th September 2025.
