Papa Marlin & Bondar is a Ukrainian duo providing another single to Lee Foss’s acclaimed South of Saturn. Having also collectively appeared on labels such as Dirty Bird, Toolroom and SOLA, their return to South of Saturn is via the heavyweight, house music flavours of ‘What You Gonna Do’ and ‘Acid Horn’.
The infectious funk of ‘What You Gonna Do’ is characterised by its pulsating drums and shuffling percussive layers, while hi-hats manufacture mesmerising grooves. The distorted bass and stomping kicks continue the punchy levels of Papa Marlin & Bondar’s production through ‘Acid Horn’, only heightened by its jaunty instrumentation.
With support from Lee Foss, a contemporary dance music force boasting South of Saturn, North of Neptune, Repopulate Mars and Hot Creations as label exports, Papa Marlin & Bondar sit in good company with their latest single.
