Uncertain was last on this label in November 2022 with his Suspect EP. He is a prolific artist who has also served up his kinky take on techno on the likes of Rekids, Kneaded Pains and Ilario Alicante’s Virgo label. Formerly known as Boriqua Tribez, he is a real underground stalwart who pairs a love of classic techno with a passion for innovative sound designs and darkly alluring moods.
That is the case from the off with ‘Difference’, a physical and pulsating techno weapon with elastic bass and rubbery drums racing along beneath monstrous hits and freaky synth details. It’s pure heads-down dancing music that never lets up. The compelling ‘Submission’ is another high-speed and linear techno weapon with sleek lines and buzzing pads layered up over urgent and percussive beats.
Remixer Deniro runs Tape Records in Amsterdam and is a cult favourite at the likes of Dekmantel festival. His rework of ‘Difference’ shows his deft touch with a mix of minimal pads and percussion over cantering drums. It’s lithe and stylish and sure to cause dance floor carnage.
