Verukka releases new single “Greenlight” on XDM Records

A stylish DJ wearing pink sunglasses and a black outfit, standing confidently with headphones around her neck, set against a vibrant background.

Some artists spend years finding their sound. Verukka already knew where to look. “Greenlight,” her debut single on XDM Records, is a tech house track rooted in a deeply personal story — one that begins not in a studio, but on a dancefloor. The lyrics are a direct nod to her early days as a hip hop dancer, when movement and freestyle sessions were her first language. That history lives in every element of the track: the groove, the attitude, the rhythm-driven pulse that feels less like a production exercise and more like a statement of identity.

Born in Norway and now based in Paris, Verukka has built her reputation behind the decks across some of the world’s most vibrant club scenes — Bali, Mexico, Thailand, Morocco, Brazil, and Spain among them — with festival appearances including Lancadonia and an upcoming summer residency in Marrakech. Her background as both a hip hop and house dancer gives her sets a physicality and energy that few DJs can replicate. With “Greenlight,” that same energy finally has a record to match.
