Vitamin String Quartet is starting 2022 with a traditional classic twist as they release nine new tracks as a part of their first album of the year, VSQ Performs the Hits of 2021 Vol. 2. Ranging from pop music, to hip hop, and to emotional ballads, this album captures the essence of VSQ and their ability to turn any song into a classical masterpiece.
“It’s always a revelation how our Hits albums wind up landing upon time of release. With these collections of songs, you’re trying to capture a moment in advance of a song’s legacy or a potential turn in an artist’s career. For instance, when we recorded the Adele piece, we didn’t know our players would be playing that song with Adele for her show. We don’t know if something like “Need To Know” will have a moment on TikTok. At the end of the day, because of the immediacy of the repertoire, the albums are as much of a surprise for us as they are for our fans…” comments James Curtiss, Director of A&R at CMH Label Group.
