“Close To You” is an alluring journey through synth-told stories. Clocking in at just under six minutes, the track showcases Volaris’ signature style – a fusion of scintillating synths flanked with raw energy that has become a true sonic trademark for the rising star. “Close To You” is followed by a Simon Doty remix on February 15 via HORIZN.
Echoing the pioneering spirit of his music, Volaris takes a monumental leap into uncharted territory with the launch of his musical brainchild, HORIZN, a new joint venture between Volaris and newly formed industry powerhouse The Circuit Group. Circuit boasts master & publishing rights to over 3000 songs, totaling more than 5 Billion combined streams and 8 GRAMMY nominations. Their roster includes Chris Lake, deadmau5, Camden Cox, FISHER, HoneyLuv, NERO, Ninajirachi, and many more. More than just a label, HORIZN is a sonic realm where boundaries are shattered, and artistic freedom reigns supreme.
“HORIZN is a platform to push boundaries and redefine the melodic house and techno experience,” said Volaris. “’Close To You’ is about making the most of each day and realizing one of the most important things in life is the connection with others: family, friends and the music community.”
Dean Wilson, CEO of The Circuit Group and deadmau5’s business partner added: “We’re delighted to have Volaris join the growing Circuit family. His undeniable talents as both a producer and performer were cemented in 2023, and continuing that growth building in-partnership for 2024 and beyond is an extremely exciting prospect for us all…It’s the definition of what The Circuit Group represents: working together to support and nurture outstanding talent, giving them the tools and resources they need to succeed at the highest levels.”
Nathan’s journey into Volaris is nothing short of remarkable. Through a number of distinctive music projects, a battle with cancer, and a new badge of fatherhood, Nathan’s evolution culminated in the creation of Volaris, marking a relentless pursuit to challenge conventions and leave an indelible mark on the electronic music landscape. In 2023, Volaris was named one of Dancing Astronaut’s Artists To Watch, a title well-earned through his career-defining year. Living up to the accolade, Volaris’ year was defined by releases on John Summit’s Experts Only (formerly Off The Grid Records), deadmau5’s mau5trap, Nora En Pure’s Purified Records, Solardo’s Sola and Armada, to name a few. 2023 also saw Volaris grace stages at Printworks, Brooklyn Mirage, Echostage, Red Rocks, Radius Chicago, and Pepsi Center in Mexico, amongst others.
In conjunction with the release of “Close To You,” Volaris has announced a special live stream event in February, taking place at Defected Records’ London event space. The live stream will serve as a fundraiser for Addenbrooke’s Hospital, the medical institution that played a crucial role in Volaris’ personal battle against cancer. “It was really important for me to use this label as a vehicle to give back to those that have helped me and many others through the darkest times,” said Volaris.

About Volaris:
Volaris burst onto the electronic music scene in 2022 with the Armada-backed debut, “Through The Night,” immediately earning the nod from industry heavyweight John Summit. The track not only marked Volaris as the inaugural artist on Summit’s Off The Grid Records but also set the stage for a relentless pursuit of sonic innovation.
Anonymous no more, Volaris’ presence became undeniable when John Summit featured the then-ID “Slow Motion” during a live set in Ushuaïa Ibiza. The subsequent deluge of demands for its release underscored the magnetic pull of Volaris’ sound. With a growing portfolio that now boasts nine original productions, including standouts like “Tygar,” “Take Me Under,” “Purple Skies,” and “I’m So Weak,” Volaris has proven that artistic prowess can eclipse a lifetime’s work in a matter of months.
Diving into 2023, Volaris embarked on a commanding tour, gracing revered venues such as Printworks London, Brooklyn Mirage, and E11even, as well as revered festivals including Movement and Electric Zoo. With a robust arsenal of releases spanning labels like Purified, Off The Grid, Sola, and mau5trap, Volaris’ trajectory promises no respite.
Behind the beats lies a narrative of grit and determination. Nathan Cozzetto, the mastermind behind Volaris, abandoned a secure software salesman job after many years, transitioning into the professional echelons of music. His journey through multiple music projects, culminating in Volaris, reflects a relentless pursuit of breaking norms and imprinting his signature on the electronic music landscape.
The name “Volaris,” meaning “you will fly,” encapsulates Nathan’s mission to break free from constraints. Volaris extends beyond the artist; it’s a celebration of life’s highs and lows. His label HORIZN, an embodiment of Nathan’s philosophy, urges individuals to seize each day with a poignant reminder that every day is a gift.
His music, an anthem of liberation and an embrace of life’s uncertainties, resonates far beyond sound systems inviting all who listen to defy limits, rise above, and make each day their own.
