Shaped by a journey spanning two decades in house music, Volkoder returns to Hot Creations with his latest EP, ‘My House’, landing back on the label following the release of his ‘Need Your Body’ EP last year. The release continues his impressive run of studio output, offering rhythm-led productions shaped for the dancefloor and built around tightly controlled impact and energy. Following the recent announcement of his biggest Ibiza season to date, his second outing on Jamie Jones’ longstanding imprint brings two cuts already making noise from São Paulo to the White Isle.
“Coming back to Hot Creations this year feels really meaningful to me. I released on the label before and am now returning, while also making my debut at Paradise at UNVRS Ibiza in the same month, which makes this moment even more special. It feels like another important step in my journey and growth as an artist.
‘My House’ was created around a strong 90s influence that I’ve always loved, blended with the sound and energy I bring to my productions today. It has that nostalgic house feeling while still sounding current and powerful for modern dancefloors. ‘Bassline Hits’ goes in a different direction, mixing UK-inspired synths, female vocals, and the groove-driven identity that has always been part of my sound. Both tracks represent different creative sides of me, while still connecting naturally within the same project.” – Volkoder.
Volkoder keeps both tracks centred on no-nonsense grooves designed to hold and control the dancefloor. ‘My House’ locks in from the off, sitting firmly in the pocket with commanding synths, hooky vocal interjections, and chunky low-end weight, while smaller details dart around the groove to add splashes of momentum. B-side ‘Bassline Hits’ pushes further, driven by heavy drums and low-end weight, delivering a record built to cut through the room whenever it drops.
Born in Salto and now based in São Paulo, Volkoder has spent the past two decades developing a sound that has made him one of Brazil’s most consistent house music exports. With recent work including releases on labels like Black Book Records, Metamorfosi and Diynamic, plus performances at Tomorrowland Brasil and iconic clubs across Europe, the US, and beyond, his return to Hot Creations marks another impactful addition to a catalogue loaded with go-to club anthems.
