Vorso Arrives on Inspected With Debut Album ‘Holonomy’

Vorso has emerged with his debut album ‘Holonomy’, with a massive tracklist of twenty new deliveries, set to debut on Inspected, a modern imprint which has built its foundations through the popularity of its merchandise, its YouTube channel and most importantly its music. Beginning his career in 2017, Vorso’s fresh approach to production and his distinct, intricately heavy sound gained widespread attention from tastemakers. And from these attributes, he’s garnered support from the likes of Aphex TwinNoisiaKOAN Sound and many more figures, with his own releases reaching the catalogue of imprints such as UKF’s Pilot Records

Alongside remixes for Au5 Mr Bill and CulprateVorso is building his own repertoire, which has brought him to Inspected with his ‘Holonomy’ LP. Beginning with the chaotic neurofunk brute ‘Badlands’, and soon moving into the futuristic soundscape of tracks like ‘Business As Usual’ and more up-beat drum & bass of ‘Staycation’, Vorso demonstrates there’s a range of tastes catered to throughout ‘Holonomy’. ‘Chef’s Suggestion’ then kicks through with arpeggios of percussion, as ‘Coastline Paradox’ continues with its expertly crafted drumwork and steady energy. ‘Facets’ drops the tempo once more for its rhythmically groovy house music flavours, whilst ‘Power Through’ pushes Vorso’s genre experimentation. ‘Weirdzone’ lends to its namesake amongst its experimentation, and ‘Arps’ with its plucked strings. The grooves of ‘Big Drum’, the shaking rhythms of ‘Palindromes’, and the grimy bass beats of ‘Dockyards’ against the masterclass of title-track ‘Holonomy’ shows the stretch of Vorso’s song-writing abilities. Next, ‘Shroud’ pulls you into a false sense of security amongst ethereal vocals, as ‘Listening Station’ and ‘Offshore Platform’ bring more traditional bass-heavy introductions.

Ending the album, ‘Searcher’ with its electronic story-telling, amongst the depth in the composition of ‘Tricks’, the technical grooves of ‘The Lighthouse and finally the climatic, euphoric sounds of ‘Penrose Staircase’, leaves the listener in awe of Vorso’s production. With a range of influences, all demonstrated throughout ‘Holonomy’, Vorso proves he’s not bound by commercial constraints. Instead, he allows himself full creative freedom with ‘Holonomy’ which highlights how he’s unafraid to push boundaries. A contemporary artist in the fullest sense who’s leaving a huge stamp within the dance music landscape.
