Los Angeles-based talent Wenzday is a DJ, producer and classically trained musician who continues to light up the West Coast underground scene with her gritty fusion of house and bass music. With performances at key festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and EDC and a catalogue that includes hits on Confession, Insomniac, and Repopulate Mars, she has firmly cemented her place in the modern house music landscape.
Now, Wenzday steps onto Repopulate Mars’ sister label, South Of Saturn, with her debut release on the imprint, ‘Bossy’ – a shadowy cut built for dark dancefloor spaces.
“I’ve been having a lot of fun playing around with minimal vocal phrases this year within my music to continue to create more of a dark, hypnotic vibe with my sound. When I started writing this particular track, I put on “Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift” in my studio to have visuals to write to and eventually capture the energy of racing through a city at nighttime.” – Wenzday.
With its heavy low-end, distorted synth pressure and hypnotic rapped vocal loops, ‘Bossy’ channels tension and attitude in equal measure to deliver a rugged, no-nonsense cut for the after-hours.
