Their last single, “Children,” became an instant hit, receiving accolades from influential figures such as Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1), who named it his “Essential Tune.” The track garnered support from various tastemakers across platforms like Amazing Radio, Indie Shuffle, Danceland Italia, Ibiza Sonica, Mixmag Mexico, and more. Building upon the success of “Children,” WhoMadeWho continues to tease LP #9 with another taste of the tracklist.
“Creating this song was magic and almost too easy. The basics were made in split seconds, with quite a lot of vocal parts from our side. Ry then cut it down to two lines, wrote the verses, and added some beautiful harmonies to the chorus. And boom it was done. Wish all music was so easy and fun to make. It was a huge honor to meet Ry X in his home in California and to get to work with him. ‘Love Will Save Me’ ended up as a unified manifest of our common love of music. Materializing the beauty of working together in a world full of intensifying division.” – WhoMadeWho
“Love Will Save Me” draws upon WhoMadeWho’s indie electronic roots, presenting a melodious platter of blissed-out sounds. The track features Australian singer/songwriter RY X, whose distinctly haunting vocals and touching acoustics add an extra layer of depth to the track.
“It’s a joy to collaborate with artists you connect to and respect, creatively and personally. I have always enjoyed the soundscapes and worlds that WhoMadeWho creates, and am happy this co-creation came to be. When I first heard the beginnings of this song I felt an immediate tinge of nostalgia, something beckoning of times just gone, and I wanted to bring further depth to that sensation of what had barely left the fingertips of my being. ‘Love Will Save Me’ became an unexpected anthem to sing from an eternally tender heart.” – Ry X
Amid their global live tour, initiated at the end of 2023, WhoMadeWho’s stage setup, a collaborative masterpiece with the renowned architecture group BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), becomes a visual manifestation of their musical exploration. Recently featured in designboom, Arch Daily, and Dezeen, the stage design transcends traditional concert experiences.
Always breaking away from the expected, WhoMadeWho announces additional dates for their global live tour, expanding their sonic footprint to destinations like Estereo Picnic (Colombia), Caprices Festival (Switzerland), DGTL AMS (Amsterdam), Festival Vaivén (Mexico), and beyond. This move reflects the band’s commitment to delivering a transformative experience to diverse audiences around the world.
