WHYTE FANG SHARES TITULAR TRACK FROM UPCOMING DEBUT LP, GENESIS, OUT 4/14

CO-WRITTEN WITH JAY WATSON (TAME IMPALA)
 “GENESIS” OUT NOW

Alexandra Sholler – aka Whyte Fang – shares the 5th, titular, and final single, “Genesis,” ahead of her forthcoming debut studio album. Co-written with Tame Impala and Pond member Jay Watson and Jacob Ray (88 Rising, Rich Brian, NIKI, Joji, Alison Wonderland), who laid down the topline, “Genesis” is a dreamy synth-laden sequence of lush loops, jungle beats, and a cinematic swirl of Whyte Fang’s production and Ray’s vocals. Rounding out the rollout with a bang, the track joins “333,” “Girl,” “Transport God,” and “SCREAM” in a row of powerful samplers of what the GENESIS LP has in store for fans of Alison Wonderland’s dark electronica alias. The wait for the album is nearly over; GENESIS is due for release on April 14th via Sholler’s very own FMU Records, coinciding with the live debut of the Whyte Fang live show at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Oozing with psychedelic grandeur, “Genesis” is a beautiful and haunting track that plays with tempo and tension. Directly following the early-March release of “SCREAM,” Whyte Fang’s collaboration with the Flatbush Zombies’ Erick The Architect, “Genesis,” draws the curtain on Jay Watson (of Tame Impala, Pond, and GUM fame) as a notable album collaborator.

PRE-SAVE: WHYTE FANG – GENESIS LP [FMU RECORDS]

Since launching in December 2022, FMU Records has been quickly rising through the ranks of indie dance music labels. In a few short months, the label has hosted releases from Jon Casey, Dabow, sumthin sumthin, Aliiias, SIPPY, Dani King, and Whyte Fang. Earlier this month, Sholler and the FMU team celebrated its immediate success with a sold-out label launch party in a packed Brooklyn warehouse. The party boasted performances from Casey, Dabow, sumthin sumthin, VILLA, and unveiled Whyte Fang’s high-tech live show for the first time since its debut in LA last fall. Sholler continues to ride a wave of insurmountable highs with the upcoming release of GENESIS, her first-ever full body of work to be released as Whyte Fang. The release of the album will coincide with Whyte Fang’s highly-anticipated live debut at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 14th. The performance promises to be a stunning visual spectacle that brings Whyte Fang’s music to life in an entrancing new way. Her performance will be live-streamed for fans – old and new – around the world to enjoy, catapulting the Whyte Fang movement to a global scale.

ABOUT WHYTE FANG – Whyte Fang, is a dark electronic project from the mind of Alexandra Sholler (better known as Alison Wonderland), the first-ever WF live show occurred as a secret headliner for a Brownies and Lemonade event at LA’s State Historic park in late 2022, the first ever publicized show arrived on September 21 at the Roxy in LA. The show sold out on the first day, the buzz is real.

Alex has been creating more industrial electronica for years but hasn’t felt the time was right to release any of it until now. Alex says “I have decided to release this music separately to Alison Wonderland because I want these beats to live in their own primal world”. To create that new world, Alex has given life to an indie project she started back in 2011. The Whyte Fang project won’t be constrained to one single genre, paired with a dark electronic ambiance, it gives a unique and fresh take on the current dance scene. The second single “333” dropped on September 8th, just before the first-ever headline Whyte Fang show. The production-heavy and cutting-edge live experience is a huge focus for this project. Showgoers will be transported into an alternate universe guided by THE Whyte Fang. With an album slated for a spring release a debut Coachella performance on the way, the Whyte Fang project has only just begun.
