The two bass music heavyweights team up on their first collaboration together.
Wooli and Calcium are locking horns to unleash their beast of a collab “Restraint,” a festival-ready single that’s ready to find its way into the wild with the help of Bassrush Records.

Dance music behemoth Wooli has been stampeding through the scene with some of the most memorable tracks to surface over the last few years. The most impressive part of it all is the tightrope act he’s been walking the whole way through, demonstrating a careful balance between rail-riding dubstep and heart-tugging melodic bass. On his debut outing with Bassrush crew, he is putting his head together with Texas-bred producer and previous label heavy-hitter Calcium on a track that has been a couple of years in the making. The collab has been masquerading around as a dancefloor-crushing festival ID up until this point, working its way through the circuit at some of the most prestigious gatherings across North America, such as Lost Lands, Bass Canyon, and North Coast Music Festival, to name a few. After incessant pleading from fans, the two unstoppable forces are finally ready to let their first-ever collaboration loose.
Holding nothing back, “Restraint” shows the two low-end masterminds thriving in their natural element. Kicking off with a whistling melody lead and choppy breakbeat drums, the track stomps its way into the foreground as ostinato horn riffs announce the arrival of this untamable dubstep animal. Scuttling synth shots, guttural bass, gurgling laser riffs and face-melting womps all work in unison to let the full weight of the track slam down in all its bone-crushing glory.
Wooli speaks on the collab: “Calcium and I have been wanting to do something together for a while now. When I first heard the initial demo, I knew this was the one. Seeing the reaction from fans when we both play it out has me really stoked to get it out!”
Calcium adds: “Adam [Wooli] and I had been wanting to make a song for a couple years now. I had recently made a WIP that was more on the melodic / heavy side, so I was like, ‘Hey, let’s try this one.’ And sooner or later we had something coming together.”
“Restraint” rears its nasty tusks around a few days after Wooli hosted his inaugural two-day Mammoth Mountain headlining show in Colorado, which featured a small herd of bass music talent with performances from Au5, Fairlane, Layz, Yula, High Zombie, Shank Aaron, and, of course, a primetime slot for the collaborator in question, the one and only Calcium himself. The venue was picturesque, the vibes were immaculate, and the crowd couldn’t get enough of Wooli and Calcium’s highly anticipated single.
