Zouj X Sahareya are ready to announce their new collaborative EP “ONLY RISKS“, set to unleash its scorching energy via City Slang 13th of July.

The dynamic duo, producer ZOUJ and Slovenian artist SAHAREYA, have taken their collaboration to soaring heights! After the mind-bending fusion of “Driving With My Eyes Closed” from Zouj’s Metal EP last year and the recent single „Freeride“, it’s clear that this is just the beginning of their musical journey.
Their second single „Death Of Me” from the upcoming EP is an auditory masterpiece that defies boundaries and takes you on an electrifying sonic adventure. This adrenaline-pumping anthem blends house, rap, and balkan brass sections, creating a unique and captivating sound. The single comes with a raw yet energetic video, authentically capturing their essence in mesmerizing detail.
This summer just got a whole lot cooler, and it is thanks to Zouj X Sahareya.
“Death Of Me” may initially sound like a party, but according to Sahareya, it carries a profound underlying message:
‘Death Of Me’ is a house song with a natural driving rhythm that just makes your head nod and your body dance. In my rap flows on this song, I show my feminine side the most and talk about all of the things that made me feel a certain way during my past relationship. I experienced a lot of anger and just had the drive to finally talk about things I didn’t like and what upset me. I think a lot of people experience toxicity in relationships of any kind. Sometimes you’re in two totally unrelated worlds and then you’re stuck and feel like you can’t express what you really mean. Or even if you do express it, it feels like it doesn’t really change anything. The chorus is also backing that thought: This common issue when you’re insecure in relationships and always stuck on the phone. I think almost everyone has experienced something like that. I also just experienced a lot of “what should you do” moments in my life from people that didn’t believe in the idea of me becoming successful as a female rapper and doubting the possibility of succeeding in what you love to do. I wanna break those barriers and let people know that you can find purpose in anything and also make it.“
Zouj and Sahareya met last year in Ljubljana at an art festival and hit it off creatively right away. Their first single “Driving With My Eyes Closed”, released last year on Zouj’s Metal EP, was a first taste of what was to come. After the release of this track, they went on an extensive European tour, where the duo fostered their energy and new, devilish ideas. After their time on the road, they went straight back to the studio and recorded several new tracks, some of which will be released on „ONLY RISKS“. Zouj X Sahareya are all about grinning in the face of despair, resistance and rebellion, always making use of black humour and satire.
