Above & Beyond partner with Guitar Center for ‘Blue Sky Action’ cover competition
Guitar Center’s ‘Cover Me’ competition launched last year as a discovery platform for aspiring musicians and producers. While the first installment saw Guitar Center partner with Zedd, the second edition finds the music hub teaming up wth Above & Beyond to give fans a chance to win studio time with the revered UK trio by covering their recent hit, “Blue Sky Action.”
Fans can download the stems from Above & Beyond’s track on Guitar Center’s Cover Me website, and can enter the contest by creating their own live version of “Blue Sky Action” and uploading a video of the performance. Covers will be evaluated by Guitar Center’s Judgding Panel as well as Above & Beyond on a criteria of technique, authenticity, originality and style.
In addition to winning studio time with Above & Beyond in Las Vegas, the contest winner will receive 10,000 cash, a feature with Beatport, new gear and more.
