With Oktoberfest just around the corner, millions of Germans are preparing to revel in the country’s biggest annual festival — as is German clothing brand Adidas, who have released a special “Oktoberfest” version of their classic “Munchen” sneaker.
Not only does the new shoe come with its very own pint glass, it also features with a “durable puke and beer repellent” (DPBR) coating in case celebrations get a bit out of hand. Furthermore, Adidas have gone out of their way to ensure parts of the design draw inspiration from traditional German practices. For example, the shoe sports special embroidery to match a traditional German lederhosen and also a golden “Prost” symbol, the German equivalent of “Cheers!”
